New Public Access Defibrillator

We are very pleased to advise that our second Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for public access is now live, and located within the old BT phone box at Dean Swift, Goodrich Cross.

We would like to thank all those who have given their time and effort free of charge to help ensure that this vital life-saving machine is available to local residents, in particular Roger Pugh and Steve Maddox who provided electrician services and Hereford and Worcester Community First Responders for assiting with the procuring of the new machine.

The original unit continues to be operational and is located on the wall of Goodrich village hall.

If you suspect that someone has had a cardiac arrest, it is vital you call 999 and immediately start CPR – DO NOT leave the patient unattended to go to the defibrillator. The 999 ambulance operator will advise you on what to do and whether you should ask someone to collect an AED. See: https://youtu.be/8A0kljQU48U
